At Public Health Association of BC’s Summer Institute: Intersections of AI, technology and health misinformation – and what we can do about it

I was invited to give a talk at the Public Health Association of Britich Columbia‘s Summer Institute, on AI applications in public health. I discussed #generativeAI , information environment, the #infodemic and uses in #publichealth.

I wrote up a part of my talk on my LinkedIn blog, reminding us that before great uses of technology take off, many useless things are tried first.

For AI to serve public health, we need to find useful use cases and design, implement and procure them responsibly and ethically.
